In 2013 I was guide for an USA businessman who wanted to do some sightseeing in Shanghai and Shanghai area after he finished his business. He told me he liked to see the highlights of Shanghai, but also wanted to see some of the more traditional life in China. He told me he wanted to spend one week. I made a taylor made travel plan for him. We spend 3 days in Shanghai and the other 3 days we traveled to Feng Jing, Hangzhou and Suzhou.
On the 3 days in Shanghai we visited all the famous places, but I also took him to some of the more hidden places like the cricket market, the Propaganda folder museum, Urban Planning exhibition hall and Shanghai Art district.
One day we make trip to Feng Jing historical water town.
One day we go to Hangzhou and visit the historical canals and waterworks , the Westlake scenic area and the traditional old city center.
One day we traveled with high speed train to Suzhou and visited Mudu old tow. Than we go to the Humbles Administrators Garden, that is on World Heritage List. We also go to silk museum. Suzhou is already center of Silk Industry ever since Maro Polo visited when he was traveling in China.
Because we traveled with public transportation (metro, buss and high speed train), the price of the tours is very attractive and lower than the price of most organized group tours . Only for some difficult places we took taxi.
