Exploring Chinese Wholesalemarket

In 2013 I was approached by UK businessman who was looking for suppliers for his clothing shops in UK. Of course China is full of companies that supply garments, but how to find the companies that deliver the right models of the right quality for the right price. Lucky for my customer Chinese garment companies use Wholesale market to sell their products. But how to find the right wholesale markets? I did a a scan for my customers and we selected 8 markets to visit. In total we made 7 trips together in the years 2013 and 2014. Of course I organized this trips. Booked hotels and tickets and joined him as his guide and interpreter. We started with the 3 most promising markets and together with my customer we found some good suppliers and we build good relation with them. Next time when my customer came, we visited same suppliers and because we were familiar with them, we could be quicker. And the free time we used to go to one new market each trip. In that way my customer got a good insight in the Chinese Wholesale Markets and where to find the right suppliers for his business.
