Hi, I am new here. I work full time for a U.S investment consulting company currently so I may only have time on vacation and weekends.
I have been working in professional business operating and investment consulting industry for almost 3 years. I just came back from the US recently. I was on the team to assist USA DPLC for a course held in ND, which targeted Asian audiences. I acted as a translator and coordinator throughout the entire trip.
I gained most of my experiences with foreign clients in my company, including the following:
1) a leading U.S. Medical device manufacturing company
- I accompanied the CEO and the VP of the company to participate in 2006 Shanghai MEDTECH Show for 3 days. I helped communicate with the visitors at the show including introducing their products to potential customers and potential business partners.
- I arranged and participated all their activities including sightseeing, meals and accomodations here in Shanghai.
- I arranged recruitment interivews for them and was invovled in the whole recruting process.(They aimed to expand their business here and needed to recruit a key account manager here in Shanghai).
- I also assisted them a bit with the expanding business here.
2) a leading U.S. pet products manufacturing company
- I accompanied product manager from America for factory tours in several cities. My chemistry background contributed a lot to the trip as I explained and translated the whole manufactoring process for the manager.
- I arranged all her activities during her stay.
3) A public listed Fortune 500 Textile & apparel company in the US.
- I accompanied 2 directors of engineering and 1 senior project manager for plant tours.
- We visited the waste water treatment plant, construction site, co-generation plant and I did translation for them in terms of some techinical terms.
- I did some translation for them during the initial business negoiation.
4) Internal
- Accompanied Director of my own company to visit government officials and did translation for him.
- Accompanied director of our business partner, a Spanish fabric glass manufacturing company to participate in 2007 Shanghai BUS show for half day. I helped to collect competitors pricing information and talked with potential business parterners and customers during the show.
5) A U.S. dairy feed additive manufacturing company
- Did market research for them.
- Provided them the options to set up business in China.
- Accompanied the CEO of the company to attend the 2007 Dairy show in Nanjing.
6) Various business set up and market research experience.
