I am working as a translator and assistant of an American manager in a Sino-French joint venture. My daily job is on-spot interpret internal & customer meetings and professional training, and sometimes show the educators and trainers from travel, shopping around Shanghai and travel, shopping and tour as a city guider.
In 2004, I was employed in a copper purchasing company located in Lubumbashi,Republic Democratic of Congo for a few months. My daily work was interpreting daily business negotiations between the Chinese and the local people. The few months experience also taught me a lot about a totally different country from the place I lived for more than twenty years. As the second largest high-percentage cuiver containing country, Congo is also full of other precious minerals, which are greatly needed in China, such as cobalt, gold, silver etc. and also abundant in natural wild animals and sceneries.
I also take part-time jobs in Grand International Exhibitions for foreign exhibitors as an interpreter. i.e. 2005 International Leather Exhibition held in Shanghai Pudong International Exposition Hall,etc.
